Matt Ballantine’s career has skirted a fine line between polymath and Jack of All Trades.
Having graduated with a degree in Sociology and Computing, he spent the first eleven years of his working life in technology departments, eventually heading up Technology Strategy for the BBC’s commercial arm, BBC Worldwide where he worked until 2004.
He then spent a couple of years working in leadership training, coaching managers from large organisations across Europe, before taking senior management roles at Reuters, acclaimed global marketing agency Imagination, and software behemoth Microsoft. At the Redmond firm he was a Principal Technology Evangelist. He's never taken job titles too seriously.
Since 2013 Matt has worked free range under the guise stamp London, consulting to organisations including Telefonica, Centrica, the UK Government Digital Service, accountancy firm Grant Thornton and lawyers Eversheds on themes of digital innovation.
A regular speaker, blogger and podcaster, Matt is also a columnist for CIO Magazine, and a Research Associate for the advisory group the Leading Edge Forum.
