Andrew Johnston (AJ), is the UK Head of Sales for ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance, specialising in providing bespoke finance to growing businesses to support their specific ambitions. Leading a team of 12 Business Development specialists across the UK, they provide funding from £1m to £10m for businesses across a multitude of sectors and industries.
ABN AMRO is a truly international business, that believes in having a strong collaborative culture and principles that it shares with its customers and this is what helps it to win business, retain clients and attract the best talent in their industry.
He brings with him a different approach to the traditional technical leadership we often see in Finance, with a background in Executive Leadership Coaching with likes of Coutts, RBS and Lombard, he concentrates his time in coaching and developing his people, to create high performing teams of motivated individuals.
This focusses on the emotional intelligence we all bring to our roles, and how this translates into the way we collaborate with our customers and our colleagues, to get the best out of ourselves and of others. Having headed up successful teams and run his own Coaching Consultancy, this makes him well placed to understand the challenges of business owners, as well as what makes a great experience for everybody.
